Fixture-release day confirmed by Premier League

Thursday 25 April 2024 16:00

The Premier League has confirmed when it will release its fixtures for the 2024/25 season.

Dates for all 380 matches to be played next term will be announced at 09:00 BST on Tuesday 18 June, 30 days after the conclusion of the current campaign.

Next season will begin on 17 August 2024 and conclude on 25 May 2025, when all 10 games will take place simultaneously, as usual.

The season will consist of 33 weekends, four midweek rounds of matches and one Bank Holiday matchweek.

The Premier League has confirmed that arrangements will be made to ease the congested schedule around Christmas and New Year, with no club playing within 60 hours of another match.

However, the mid-season break, introduced in 2019/20, has been scrapped to allow for a later league start date.

United started this season with a home game against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Raphael Varane scoring the winning goal to settle a tight Monday-night game.

We've opened each of our last seven campaigns with an Old Trafford encounter, and 2016's visit to Bournemouth was the last curtain-raiser on the road.

The current term will come to a close on Sunday 19 May, when we travel to Brighton & Hove Albion.
